　　we are young是美国独立流行乐团fun.于XX年9月发行的一支单曲，单曲收录在乐队第二张录音室专辑《some nights》中。此曲曾被glee翻唱，翻唱版本首发时登上了billboard第12位，并在itunes单曲下载榜上排行第一。原版在billboard hot 100榜冠军位置停留六周，在XX billboard hot 100 year-end中排列第三，并获第55届(XX)格莱美年度歌曲奖(song of the year)，并获得年度制作，最佳流行乐队/组合提名。

　　简单的说，《we are young》就是一首充满正能量和积极意义的励志歌曲。也难怪它常常被许多美剧拿来做配乐歌曲，它高昂的情调和戏剧化的张力，也让这首歌曲既有丰富的听觉震撼力，也有许多独立乐团最为缺乏的精气神。听这首歌曲，就像当年听queen的《we will rock you》或者《we are the champions》。

　　《we are young》这首单曲由乐队主唱nate ruess和他们《some nights》的制作人jeff bhasker共同创作完成。而这首作品的女声演绎，则来自于另一位出生于堪萨斯的黑人女歌手janelle monae。

　　歌曲的创作可以追溯到XX年2月。某日，nate ruess和jeff bhasker相约于纽约东城bowery酒店的酒吧，商谈音乐事宜。而为了这次会面，nate ruess已经是第三次相约，前两次则都被jeff bhasker放了鸽子。而这一次，jeff bhasker在和beyonce完成工作后，终于匆匆赶来和nate ruess相见，但只提供了十分钟的会谈时间。不过，nate ruess关于将流行和嘻哈融合的创作想法，却很快引起了他的注意。之后，nate ruess将jeff bhasker请到了自己的客房，向他亲自演示了这种想法的成果，即流行、嘻哈和电子融合的效果，而主旋律部分，甚至还有一些beyonce作品的线条。第二天，jeff bhasker就把nate ruess请到了他纽约的工作室。并最终完成了这首歌曲的母带。
