When wickedness comes, so does contempt, and with shame comes disgrace.　　恶人来，藐视随来。羞耻到，辱骂同到。--《旧·箴》18：3

　　Before his downfall a man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honor.　　败坏之先，人心骄傲。尊荣以前，必有谦卑。--《旧·箴》18：12

　　The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge; the ears of the wise seek it out.　　聪明人的心得知识，智慧人的耳求知识。--《旧·箴》18：15

　　The first to present his case seems right, till another comes forward and questions him.　　先诉情由的，似乎有理。但邻舍来到，就察出实情。--《旧·箴》18：17

　　An offended brother is more unyielding than a fortified city.　　弟兄结怨，劝他和好，比取坚固城还难。--《旧·箴》18：19

　　It is to his glory to overlook an offense.　　宽恕人的过失，便是自己的荣耀。--《旧·箴》19：11

　　whoever is led astray by them is not wise.　　因酒错误的，就无智慧。--《旧·箴》20：1

　　Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler.　　酒能使人亵慢，浓酒使人喧嚷。--《旧·箴》20：1

　　It's no good, it's no good!" says the buyer; then off he goes and boasts about his purchase.　　买物的说，不好，不好，及至买去，他便自夸。--《旧·箴》20：14

　　The glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old.　　强壮乃少年的荣耀。白发为老年人的尊荣。--《旧·箴》20：29

　　The violence of the wicked will drag them away.　　恶人的强暴，必将自己扫除。--《旧·箴》21：7

　　He who sows wickedness reaps trouble.　　撒罪孽的，必收灾禍。--《旧·箴》22：8

　　Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

　　Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and. The power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

　　The grass withers, the flower fades, when the breath of the LORD blows upon it; surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God will stand forever.
