The campaign has generated online buzz with sightings reported in key European hubs, including Rome, Milan, Florence, Berlin, Porto, and Barcelona. The trams, which feature striking images of the city, are part of a broader municipal initiative to attract international visitors.

Another shared the sentiment, writing, "+1! I saw it last week too, isn't that my hometown!"

Shenzhen and Milan formally became friendship cities in 2018, and the two have since deepened their ties in fashion, design, and culture. Shenzhen designers have become a regular presence at Milan Fashion Week, and a direct "Shenzhen ⇋ Milan" flight route now streamlines travel between the two hubs. In addition, a design exchange center now links Shenzhen with Florence, fostering further creative collaboration.

According to the latest data from Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office, as China’s visa-free "circle of friends" continues to expand, the number of foreign travelers taking advantage of these policies is climbing rapidly. As of August 11, the number of foreigners entering through Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport on a visa-free basis has surged by over 151.5% year on year.

Overall, the total number of foreign travelers inspected at the airport checkpoint has increased by more than 48.1% this year.
