hobby译为“爱好，习惯”，后面接的内容应该表示经常性，习惯性的动作。所以后面接v-ing的形式。

例如：My hobby is collecting stamps.（我的爱好是集邮）

I have many hobbies， such as reading， skating， and watching TV. But reading is my favorite hobby.

以上各词均涉及闲暇活动。

1、interest

an activity or subject that you do or study for pleasure in your spare time 指业余爱好（活动或科目）：

Her main interests are music and gardening.她的主要爱好是音乐和园艺。

2、hobby

an activity that you do for pleasure in your spare time 指业余爱好（活动）：

His hobbies include swimming and cooking.他爱好游泳和烹饪。

His hobby is freefall parachuting.

他的业余爱好是自由下落式跳伞。

My hobby is woodwork.

我的业余爱好是做木工活儿。

3、game

a children's activity when they play with toys， pretend to be sb else， etc. an activity that you do to have fun 指儿童游戏、玩耍、娱乐：

He was playing games with the dog.

他在逗狗玩。

4、pastime

an activity that people do for pleasure in their spare time 指消遣、休闲活动：

Eating out is the national pastime in France.

Her favourite pastime is surfing the net.

Knitting can be a very enjoyable pastime.
