My favorite basketball star is Kobe Bryant. He is a former professional basketball player who played for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association. He was one of the greatest players in NBA history and was known for his ability to score， his defensive skill and his leadership.

Kobe Bryant was born in Philadelphia， Pennsylvania and began playing basketball at a very young age. He was a standout player in high school and was selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the 13th pick in the 1996 NBA draft. He was soon traded to the Los Angeles Lakers， where he spent the remainder of his career.

Kobe was a master of the game and he was known for his relentless work ethic and dedication to perfecting his craft. He was an 18-time All-Star， 15-time member of the All-NBA team， 12-time member of the All-Defensive team， and the 2008 NBA MVP. He was also the 2008 NBA Finals MVP and a two-time NBA champion. Kobe was a true inspiration to me and I will always remember his legacy.
