Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior， commonly known as Neymar Jr. or simply Neymar， is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team. Neymar is widely considered to be one of the best players in the world.

Born and raised in São Paulo， Neymar played his first senior game for Santos at the age of 17. He made a name for himself quickly， scoring goals and providing assists for his team. His impressive performances for Santos earned him a move to Barcelona in 2013. In his four seasons at Barcelona， Neymar won eight trophies， including the continental treble in the 2014–15 season. He also scored 105 goals and tallied 77 assists in 186 appearances.

In 2017， Neymar transferred from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain， making him the most expensive player in history， with the transfer costing €222 million. Since then， Neymar has continued to impress， scoring goals and providing assists for PSG. He has also won several individual awards， including the 2017 Copa Libertadores Most Valuable Player.
